A lot of work is going on behind the scenes as we prep in anticipation of seeing you at the masterclass. Here are some notes to guide you through the days.
Masterclass with
Devika Narain
The three day journey with Devika and our design team was created not just to inspire but to share with you the way we design weddings at DNC. Each day has been carefully curated to share with you not just our processes but also the visual tool to enable you to think like us.
Below is a quick schedule of what you can expect.
Day One: 3pm
A discussion on what inspires us, how we look at clients and weddings and a study into the principles of design that guide us through our design process. Expect this day to be long with lots of insights into how we think. The class typically lasts for three hours.
An assignment will be given at the end of the day.
Day Two: 3pm
The second day is about the nuts and bolts- processes and systems that we follow. A detailed look at our sheets, mood-boards and design presentations + conversations on deciding lighting, flowers, fabrics and color. The class typically lasts for three hours.
As assignment will be given at the end of the day.
Day Three: 4pm
The day opens with the making of an actual wedding as Devika takes you through the inspirations, processes and ideas behind the design of a sustainable wedding.
The class typically lasts an hour and a half, post which the floor is open for questions, discussions and feedback.
A Whatsapp group will be created for the days of the workshop.
The zoom meeting link will be shared three hours before the workshop.
The assignments are purely for you to understand the concepts better.
Assignments will not be evaluated.
Feel free to share the assignments on the Whatsapp group.
No recordings will be available post the workshop.
A glossary and list of additional reading materials will be shared on the last day of the workshop.
Some simple rules to keep in mind.
Please login ten minutes before the workshop.
Attendance will be taken on all days.
One pass permits only once participant.
Please mute your mics to avoid any disturbance.
Please keep a pen and notepad ready to take notes.
There will be a 15-minute break at the end of each segment.
Please put your questions in the chat box, they will be answered at the end of each segment.
Please don’t record these conversations.
